Joel Baldwin began his photography career after he graduated with a degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He became a staff photographer for LOOK and covered stories all over the world. He specialized in human interest stories ranging from the war in Biafra, to celebrities, color essays and fashion.

After LOOK folded in 1971, he free-lanced for other magazines such as Life, Town and Country, Esquire, Geo, Redbook, and Ladies Home Journal. He has completed projects in advertising, journalism and fine arts. He is proud of his sense of visual composition, graphic color and human expression.

Baldwin lives and works in Stony Creek CT.
